Ruma Rua 2019

We have had the pleasure of having Tae, a teacher from Japan, in our class over the past two weeks. She has taught us many things about Japan, helped us write our name in Japanese, made origami with us and taught us to count. We had a farewell assembly to say goodbye, good luck and thank you to Tae.

We have been at school for 100 days! We have been counting up to 100 since our first day of school back in January. We celebrated with having a 100 day party, we danced, created hats and painted 100 things! What a great day of learning.

Miss Bisset and the house leaders organised a great day for our house sport day. We played games such as chuck the chicken, cross the line, tug o war, relays and pool hockey noodle. We dressed up in our house colours and had heaps of fun. The day finished with teachers vs house leaders in a game of soccer!

What a great day we had at Te Rangimarie Marae. We were welcomed onto the marae with a powhiri, complete with a hongi. We performed our pepehas and visited the river. After lunch the boys performed the haka and the girls performed a dance with poi. We had a fun day out. A big thank you to all the amazing peopled who helped us on our trip.

We are very lucky to have football with Adam to teach us football skills. We are learning to kick and stop a ball, listen carefully to instructions and work together...we are football stars!

We have been lucky to have Kelly Sports working with us to help us with our gymnastic skills. This will help our balance, body co-ordination and spatial awareness.
