Ruma Rua 2019

Wow! What a great day we had in Whanganui. We started the day off at Kowhai park, then we played mini golf and finally we went swimming. Some of us were very tired on the bus ride home! Thank you to the parent helpers you came on this trip. You were amazing!!!

As part of EOTC week, Ruma Rua, along with the rest of TKW decided to have a picnic lunch in the forest. After we had our lunch, we completed a nature scavenger hunt with our buddies.

We had a great time today with the fantastic people from Sport Manawatu. Some of us even had our training wheels off by the end of the session and were cycling independently - Well done Ruma Rua, you were amazing!!!! ll done Ruma Rua! You were amazing!!!!

We have had a busy few days with EOTC week. We have had coach Kahu here on Monday teaching us some traditional Maori games. On Tuesday we played indoor bowls and did snag golf with Reece from Sport Manawatu!

We were very lucky to have the Airforce visit us on Friday. We were even luckier that they arrived in a helicopter that arrived on our school field. We practised holding onto our hats in the classroom as when the helicopter came close it would become very windy. When the helicopter had landed safely we were allowed to go inside the helicopter and try on their helmets. The airforce crew were great at explaining things to us. Mrs Blay organised this surprise for us as her husband was the pilot!
