Ruma Rua 2019

For our must do we practised some of our foundation skills and made these disguises. Do you recognise any of these faces in our class?

We are lucky to have a large oak tree that provides lots of shade for us in our junior playground. In autumn time our playground is covered with acorns that drop from this tree. We had some 'squirrels' in our class on Friday at lunchtime busily collecting some acorns and proudly storing them on the picnic tables on our playground. They were very proud of their efforts!

We had a great day on Tuesday for our duathlon. The weather was perfect, no wind and no rain! We had lots of people come and cheer us on. The children in Ruma Rua all did extremely well, with everyone completing the race!

We had a great afternoon on Friday demonstrating our swimming skills to our whanau. It has been amazing to see the progress some children have made over the past few weeks. Their confidence and skills have sky rocketed. Ka pai Ruma Rua, we are all very proud of you!

Wow! What a great day we had in Whanganui. We started the day off at Kowhai park, then we played mini golf and finally we went swimming. Some of us were very tired on the bus ride home! Thank you to the parent helpers you came on this trip. You were amazing!!!

As part of EOTC week, Ruma Rua, along with the rest of TKW decided to have a picnic lunch in the forest. After we had our lunch, we completed a nature scavenger hunt with our buddies.

We had a great time today with the fantastic people from Sport Manawatu. Some of us even had our training wheels off by the end of the session and were cycling independently - Well done Ruma Rua, you were amazing!!!! ll done Ruma Rua! You were amazing!!!!
